The primary objectives and mandate of the trust are to uplift the living conditions and to benefit the employees of the Namibia Grape Company as well as the surrounding community in the Aussenkehr area. The NGC Social Development Trust has been formally established in 2009. We always consider the current socio economic and developmental challenges we face as a Namibian nation and then the trust focusses on the immediate needs of the people of the Aussenkehr, Kharas area to establish which projects are immediately achievable with the available resources.
This year we decided to take a break from the back aching work of fostering education, to something a bit more glitzy, the 2016 Miss Crayfish Beauty Pageant.
The Chairman of Capespan Namibia, Mr John Akapandi Endjala is also the Chairman of the NGC Social Development Trust. The Vice-Chairman is Mr Gideon Nuunyango, GM of NGC and other Trustees are Angelo Petersen, the Capespan Group representative and the NYS’s representative, Mr George Likukela. The Operational Officer of the Trust is Ms Ansonette van der Merwe.
